About Us

The Iroquois Owners Association is a long-established organisation for owners and would-be owners of Sailcraft-built boats in the UK and around the world.

At our Annual General Meeting on 5th March 2011 we decided that the IOA would now be operated entirely through this new website, to improve communications and reduce costs.

Our aims are to encourage contacts between owners and would-be owners around the world, to provide information and advice, and (above all!) to share the pleasure of owing these classic boats, which are among the most successful of the early multihull designs.

One of the great strengths of the IOA is its store of information on Sailcraft boats, and many of our members have immense experience – they have been cruising and racing catamarans for several decades – so we can find an answer to the great majority of the questions that owners may have.

We recognise that one of the benefits of an owners’ association is the opportunity to meet other owners, and we hope that owners will consider organising a rally in their own area. We will assist you to do so by publishing details of your events.

At present the IOA is operating on its capital reserves, which are sufficient for the immediate future, so we are not charging a membership fee. Our operating costs are low, but eventually we will have to make an annual charge for membership in the region of £5 ($8 or €5.50).

We are very keen to make contact with owners and update our worldwide list of boats, so please get in touch!

The current members of the IOA committee are Sue Beeby, John Sadler, Dave Webber, Bernie Spoor (Treasurer) and myself as chair. Please let me know if you have an interest in helping us with our work – there’s lots to do!

Happy sailing!

Martin Corrick
